  • Worked with the Minnesota branches of a national bank to develop specialized marketing plans for a variety of industry groups. Identified opportunities to market to and grow relationships with local businesses in each industry and worked with bankers to implement industry-specific marketing strategies.
  • Conducted background research on national bank competitors' remote capture deposit services to better understand how this new technology is being marketed to end users.  Provided key learnings and recommendations to client in relaunching their RCD service.
  • Served as the outsourced marketing function for a Bloomington-based accounting and financial services firm. Developed overall firm strategy and industry-specific marketing plans to guide firm growth. Created second generation web-site, new graphic identity, and secured local press coverage for the firm and its principals.
  • Conducted market research for a national bank on several targeted industries and their banking needs in order to create marketing strategies and banking services specific to each industry.

  • Managed all details of the communication of an acquisition for a Rochester, MN-based CPA firm, including creation of a media list and press release and follow-up activity following the announcement.
  • Conducted weekly conference calls with a CPA firms' partners to establish new business development goals and objectives, to measure progress against these goals and to strengthen each professional's skills and confidence levels in recruiting new clients.
  • Created a strategic marketing and implementation plan for the Minnesota branches of a national bank, developing relationships with CPAs for the purposes of sharing referrals and generating new business.
  • Worked for over two years with the founder of an accounting firm in Wayzata, MN, to develop and implement a marketing strategy around a highly industry-focused group of clients. This year, Client will bill over $1 million in revenue, and the owner attributes his success to our marketing work.


  • Worked with five partners at a 35-member accounting firm in Maplewood, MN, on the development of personal contact lists as well as individually-focused, relationship-building strategies which have already resulted in new business for the firm.


  • Conducted a customer survey for a bank in Minnetonka, surveying 1,500 customers and achieving a 60% response rate; results used in the bank's ongoing strategic planning initiatives.


  • Created a second generation website for a community bank in Minnetonka including graphic design, content development and site promotion - First Minnetonka City Banks.


  • Created a first-generation website for an accounting and business consulting firm in Minnetonka; assessed the opportunities, planned the site map, developed content, created the graphic identity and the site promotion - Mervin Winston, Ltd.


  • Served as the outsourced marketing function for a community bank in Minnetonka, facilitated all monthly marketing committee meetings and served on the bank's strategic planning committee. Our goals were to retain and grow existing customer relationships, while also attracting new customers from the local area to become new bank customers. Ongoing initiatives for the bank include sponsorships, advertising, customer communications, newsletter production, website development and maintenance.
