When developing name recognition and awareness, public and media relations can be the most cost-effective, high impact strategy to pursue. Some of the primary components Professional Services Marketing has pursued with clients include: development of a strategic PR and media plans; creation and distribution of regular news releases to targeted business and association press; development of article ideas and assistance in pitching concepts to local and national reporters; and establishing clients as expert sources for the media.   • Worked with a software organization specializing in the healthcare industry to maximize their presence in the industry through the effective use of public and media relations, including by-lined articles and news releases.

  • Managed all details of the communication of an acquisition for a Rochester, MN-based CPA firm, including creation of a media list and press release and follow-up activity following the announcement.

  • Researched, created, and coordinated final production of trade show materials, tabletop displays, and signs for a healthcare fraud firm.

  • Created and implemented a public relations strategic plan for 2006 for a corporate healthcare fraud services firm.

  • Created and distributed HTML communications on newsworthy items for a healthcare fraud services firm.

  • Prepared sell sheets on various service lines for use with new clients, on the website, and at trade shows for a corporate healthcare fraud services firm.

  • Identified public relations opportunities for a small Bloomington, Minnesota-based Financial Services firm and secured a high profile by-line financial advice column in a Twin Cities business journal.

  • Secured an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune regarding the firm's required sabbatical program of all partners at this Twin Cities law firm. The reprint of this article serves the firm as a very effective recruiting tool. 

  • Created multiple news releases and media alerts on various industry nominations, events, and additions to the firm to increase name recognition for a La Crosse, Wisconsin-based law firm. 

  • Developed for a Wisconsin law firm an original client brochure communicating steps to take after an auto accident.

  • Developed a complete media kit for small law firm including bios for all attorneys, a firm history summary, a firm fact sheet, and comprehensive lists of community involvement and activities of the partners.

  • Wrote all content for the development of a media room on a national law firm's web page.

  • Developed and distributed a monthly internal email communication to update attorneys and staff regarding the firm's latest marketing and media relations initiatives and successes of a national litigation firm. 

  • Developed promotional plans for national law firm's attorneys receiving local and national awards and honors.

  • Worked with technology staff to ensure timely posting of new information regarding firm events, honors, and new attorneys of national litigation firm.

  • Created and coordinated with print company a Personal Injury brochure for a small law firm for distribution to clients and contacts along with an introductory letter; worked with print company on costs, printing, and mailing.  

  • Created external communications for a Rochester-based CPA firm to announce the acquisition of a competing CPA firm, resulting in high-visibility coverage in local paper. Created printed announcements to inform both firms' client bases of the pending acquisition and allay concerns about continuity of service.


  • Developed and implemented a strategic public relations plan for a consulting firm specializing in healthcare fraud consulting, resulting in numerous national articles and opportunities to present at association events.


  • Assisted a Twin Cities-based company that helps fund ethnic minority-owned businesses in its aggressive growth plans by enhancing the company's visibility with prospective clients and supporters.


  • Developed and implemented a strategic public relations campaign for a Minneapolis-based law firm. The strategy resulted in numerous placements in the Twin Cities business and legal press.


  • Developed and implemented a strategic public relations campaign for an architectural firm resulting in significant exposure for the client including top billing at the 2003 Home and Garden Show.
