  • James J. Hill Reference Library - Co-chairing the Marketing Advisory Board with the James J. Hill Reference Library's CEO and Director of Sales on the development of a dream team of local business professionals who share the vision of enhanced services and fundraising with the goal of creating a national presence for the library.
  • Great River Greening - Advises and sits on the board of Great River Greening, a non-profit organization that restores valuable and endangered natural areas and open spaces in the great Twin Cities by engaging individuals and communities in stewardship of the Mississippi, Minnesota, and St. Croix River valleys and their watersheds. Great River Greening also leads the Big Rivers Partnership, a group of more than twelve organizations that is committed to improving the metro's natural resources.
  • Milestone Growth Fund - Assisted a Twin Cities-based company that helps fund ethnic minority-owned businesses in its aggressive growth plans by enhancing the company's visibility with prospective clients and supporters. We also provided messaging and communications for a major fund development campaign and overhauled and enhanced the company's web presence.
  • Family Pathways - Served on the board of directors and provided all strategic planning and marketing services to the board. Initiatives involved everything from creating a new visual identity for the organization to conducting a successful search for a new executive director. The mission of the organization is to work with people to meet their basic needs, strengthen their families and develop caring relationships and support in their communities.
  • Hennepin County Ethics Committee - Served on the ethics board, investigating claims involving the Lawyer's Board of Professional Responsibility. This board membership required a thorough understanding of the Rules of Professional Responsibility, which govern and direct the practice and business activities of lawyers in the state of Minnesota.
  • DivorceChoice.com - Worked with the founder of this web-based source of community information for those contemplating divorce. The project involved three distinct phases: board member recruitment, site member recruitment and the development of a community-based communications campaign designed to draw people to the website.
  • University of Minnesota Human Rights Center - Consulted with the executive director on the overall growth plan for the organization and created the overall marketing strategy for the Center. The Center was designed to attract human rights organizations from around the country and encourage them to become a member and to provide a consortium for members with marketing materials on the resources available to the public through the Center.
  • Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights - In cooperation with this organization and a local law firm, this program created an overall strategy to communicate the value of human rights to children. This initiative took the form of encouraging lawyers to volunteer in classrooms, and the creation of a targeted radio advertising campaign using children to convey the key messages. Ads ran regularly on a local radio station for children.
  • China Industrial Information Institute - Worked with the executive director of this initiative who was charged with entering China and drafting its newly forming Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) laws. Created a consortium of companies doing business in China with a focus on their participation in the process; developed all membership recruitment materials for the Institute.
  • Functional Freedom Corporation (FFC) - Worked with the non-profit arm of the American Association for Functional Orthodontists on planning for and communicating the services of the FFC, designed to assist if ethical questions or issues arise during the treatment of patients using functional treatment methodologies.
