- Worked with the president of a start-up vacation services
firm in North Oaks, MN, on the development and implementation
of a marketing strategy to launch her new business on a
national level.
- Coordinated all aspects of website development for a start-up
company focused on product offerings for the vacation rental
management industry including management of graphic design,
creation of content and coordination of technical development,
including security certification for online sales.
- Worked with a graphic designer on developing the entire
identity for a start-up company serving the property management
industry; developed the tagline for the business and the
packaging for the product line.
- Worked with the president of a start-up company marketing
a vacation essentials product to property management firms
in the United States. Conducted a business assessment and
created an overall marketing strategy for the company.
- Conducted a client survey for a travel agency to determine
current levels of client satisfaction, and their changes
in travel habits since 9-11. The survey was sent to over
1,000 current clients. Responses were received by 40%. This
data formed the basis for the creation of the agency's strategic
business and marketing plan.
- Worked with a travel agency on the development and implementation
of its first ever strategic marketing plan. The process
included conducting a thorough assessment of the business,
developing a targeted marketing plan to help compensate
for the airline compensation reductions, and to implement
the plan as the agency's outsourced marketing arm.
- Based on feedback received from the client survey, created
a targeted client communication in the form of a newsletter
to be sent to all travel clients. The newsletter is published
on a quarterly basis and is also available through the newly
designed website. The newsletter features travel tips, a
message from the president, trip reports, new travel updates
and restrictions, agent trip profiles, trip specials and
planning calendars, and other information relevant to travelers.
- Developed the second generation website for a travel agency.
The process involved creating a website development plan
and working with Support
Unlimited to design and develop the site. In
addition new content was provided for the site by PSM. The new site incorporated interactive
links to travel partners, "Be Your Own Travel Writer" feature
where clients can submit trip reports for posting on the
website, biographies on the agents, featured destinations
and more.
- Continue to meet on a regular basis with the president
of the agency to ensure the marketing strategy is consistently
being implemented; create meeting summaries and keep all
initiatives moving forward.
