Emily Pearson is committed to creating unique, professional, creative, and visually appealing works. Throughout the past four years, she has accumulated extensive experience in project management, promotional coordination, and market development in collegiate and professional services organizations. Her meticulous attention to detail and enthusiasm for art has driven her passion for artistic design.

Emily Pearson graduated cum laude from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University in May 2008 with a degree in communications, a minor in art, and an emphasis in marketing. During her undergraduate work, she partook in competitive marketing and design internships, headed the graphic design for an award-winning collegiate newspaper, and designed for the Communication and Marketing Services of the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University.

During the course of her internship with the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Emily coordinated and managed all the programming and advertising for the community event Summer Tuesdays in the Park. She helped to establish a common image that she implemented throughout the advertisements and newly established website. At her second internship with the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Emily coordinated media proposals and trades with the local media for all of the Broadway musical events. Her favorite and greatest accomplishment was helping to produce register to win boxes, promotional signage, and wedding invitations as well as assisting in the coordination of the wedding promotion event for the performance of The Drowsy Chaperone.

While working for the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University Communication and Marketing Services, Emily designed and created numerous types of collateral print material for campus services and events. She also worked closely with the college’s brand identity, guidelines, and specifications. Her greatest accomplishment came when she collaborated with coworkers in creatively preparing and researching a new vision for an ongoing campus identity project. Emily’s project management included facilitating interviews and producing a large scale banner in prominent student center to support the brand identity initiative.

In addition to her extensive job and internship experiences, Emily was active while attending CSB/SJU. She spent three years working on the Record, the school newspaper. Emily helped to design and implement graphics for teasers, stories, and extra spreads. In addition, Emily also was the advertising manager where she managed the accounts of local businesses by initiating all the advertising, managing their accounts and placing the advertisements in each paper. She was also a Teacher’s Assistant for Computer Art classes, gave tours for Admissions, participated in intramural sports, and enjoyed trying out a variety of clubs and other activities around campus.

Emily currently works for Alliance Bank in St. Paul, MN as a teller, while continuing to pursue her passion for volunteering on the marketing committee for the Twin Cities Marathon.

Emily looks forward to advancing her career in design by taking on new and challenging projects that will help exemplify her past experience and provide great opportunity to learn.
