Tara Thorenson, Graphic Designer

Tara Thorenson has worked in a number of capacities within the marketing and design industry. With experience in art direction, graphic design, production art, pre-press and marketing, not only does Tara create exceptionally creative pieces, she is sure to make designs that are cost effective and easy to print. It is because of Tara’s artistic talent and client service-oriented attitude that she has had the opportunity to work as a part of the Professional Services Marketing team.

Education
Tara graduated magna cum laude from the Art Institutes International, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in graphic design. Tara studied under a scholarship, which was one of only three national scholarships awarded per year. While a student, Tara was asked by faculty members to work as a teaching assistant and by her peers to assist with freelance projects prior to graduation.

Career History
Tara brings a fresh approach to her design tasks by keeping up-to-date on the latest graphic trends and computer applications. Her work is highly regarded, cutting edge and in constant demand by those companies and persons who are familiar with her expertise in the graphic design field. Since her graduation over five years ago, she has worked for companies both large (more than 200 employees) and small (fewer than fifty employees) and has recently extended her services by becoming an independent contractor.

Tara consistently offers pro bono design to non-profit organizations around the Twin Cities including the Minnesota Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association and the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church.

Tara has worked on several projects, including but not limited to packaging and collateral for Target, Novartis, Dairy Queen, Sturm Foods, Sentinel, and various Minnesota law firms.
