Katie Welch-Peterson, Public Relations
Katie
Welch-Peterson brings a wealth of public relations experience
to Professional Services Marketing. Her passion for public
relations spans 14 years of pitching stories and building
media relationships. Working on a variety of consumer and
business-to-business accounts, Katie has leveraged media relationships
to successfully launch new services, products, and businesses
on local and national levels.

her career, Katie has conducted extensive media training with
high-level executives, coordinated cross-country satellite
media tours, and directed the production of award-winning
media kits and video news releases.
Katie
is also a "trend spotter" and is the on-air spokesperson for
The Shoppes At Arbor Lakes and Woodbury Lakes, appearing regularly
on the KARE-11 Saturday Show and WCCO-TV weekend show, and
enjoys being in front of the camera.
Through
her work at local firms and currently as an independent publicist,
Katie has worked with various public relations and advertising
agencies, non-profit organizations, and several consumer and
retail groups.
Most notably, she was Media Relations Manager and responsible
for the start-up, growth, and management of the media relations
division at Colle+McVoy Marketing Communications. She also
worked as a Senior Account Executive for Padilla Spear Beardsley
in Minneapolis.
Katie received
her Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Augsburg College
in St. Paul, Minnesota.
