What a contractor website needs to do

Your website works around the clock, even when your crews are on a job. A good one turns a search into a phone call.

Show your work

Project photos and before-and-after examples prove the quality of your work better than any description.

Earn trust fast

Reviews, licenses, warranties and years in business, right where homeowners look for them.

Work on a phone

Most visitors are on a phone. Your number, quote request and service area should be one tap away.

Get found

One page per service, clear structure and local SEO built in, so the site brings in leads instead of just sitting there.

Contractor website design: questions

How long does a contractor website take?

Most contractor websites take two to three months. Larger sites with many services or a lot of new content can take longer, and simpler sites can launch sooner.

How much does a contractor website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, how much content needs to be written and the features you need. Many contractors start with a branding and website phase, then move into ongoing marketing. PSM's Quickstart Package runs $2,000 to $4,000 a month.

Do you write the content?

Yes. PSM Marketing writers draft every page in plain language, and you review and approve it before it goes live.

Will a new website hurt our search rankings?

Not when it's done right. PSM keeps pages that rank, maps redirects from every old URL and checks Google Search Console after launch.

Can you connect the website to our CRM?

Usually, yes. Quote and contact forms can send leads to most CRM and scheduling systems, depending on the software you use.

How often should a contractor redesign its website?

Every three to five years is typical, and sooner if the site is slow, hard to use on a phone or doesn't show your current work.

Do you work with contractors outside Minnesota?

Yes. PSM Marketing is based in St. Paul and Rush City and works with contractors across the country by video.
